Submit to Inscape

The 2022 edition of Inscape Magazine accepts submissions every fall. Submissions of poetry, fiction, creative nonfiction, fine art, digital art, photography, music, and video are accepted.

Submissions are Closed

Submissions, save for online-only entries such as music and video, are printed within a 6 x 9 inch booklet. Side margins are 0.5 inches with an added 0.25 for the interior spine. Top margins are 1 inch and bottom margins are 0.75 inches, making the total content area 4.75 x 7.5 inches. Image entries include a caption. The interior of the printed edition is black and white, but color versions are available online.

Poetry is literary work in which special intensity is given to the expression of feelings and ideas by the use of distinctive style and rhythm.

Creative Nonfiction is prose writing that is based on facts, real events, and real people, such as biography, memoir, or history.
Fiction is literature in the form of prose, especially short stories and novels, which describes imaginary events and people.
Performance and Visual Art is a broad category that includes sculpture, painting, pen and pencil, pastels, mixed media, photography, digital illustrations, graphics, video, and music.
If you're worried about submitting your work, you're not alone! Submitting your work for publishing can be intimidating. If you aren't ready to take that step but still enjoy creative writing, consider taking one of the creative writing courses offered at here at Jewell to build your language skills and creativity while receiving constructive feedback on your work.
